Cycle Streets
On a cycle street, cars and other vehicles need to behave in a way that prioritises the cyclists on the street.
The purpose of a cycle street is to create a street space on the cyclists' terms and where the interaction between bicycles and motor vehicles is improved and facilitated. This leads to better mobility for cyclists and a safer and more secure traffic environment for every road user on the street.
Cycle streets are a useful option when there is not enough space for regular cycle lanes.
